In 2020 Marian Bore decided to increase and formalise some neighbourly picking of blackberries from her garden, bordering a pavement.

 

She planted herbs and more berries and labelled them for passing friends to pick and use.

 

Thinking that this could start a new movement of people doing the same all around the world, Marian sought like organisations but couldn't find one that just fitted her idea.  Encouraged and helped by community groups as well as friends and family, pick a flavour was born. 

 

At September 2020 funding is being sought for some all-weather signs and work with volunteers is underway for finding sites for new patches, helping people set up.  We'd love help with getting the idea and name out there - through social media and awareness campaigns - and welcome enquiries and offers of help!  Please do get in touch using the button above.
